Prof. Amy Glasmeier’s Living Wage Calculator Explains Need for Higher Federal Minimum Wage

Amy Glasmeier, professor of economic geography and regional planning at MIT, developed a living wage calculator that illustrates how the federal minimum wage stacks up to a typical American household’s actual expenses. The results show that the current $7.25 an hour minimum wage is not adequate for most households U.S. households (Inquisitr, 08/18/14).
